Journal of Periodontology

The Journal of Clinical Periodontology is directed toward clinicians, general practitioners, periodontists, as well as to pedagogues and administrators associated with the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease.

For the purposes of communicating progress in periodontology to these individuals concerned with the dental health of the community, the Journal of Clinical Periodontology publishes original articles of advanced scientific worth in the field of physiology and pathology of peridontia; diagnosis, epidemiology, prevention and treatment of periodontal disease; expert reviews on progress in basic and applied periodontal science; developments in periodontal technique and instrumentation; and enlightening case reports.

Published monthly by the American Academy of Periodontology, a member association of dental specialists concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases relating to the gums and supporting structures of the teeth, the Journal of Periodontology is a second periodontics resource available online as well as in print.
